TL;DR 🧠: Telangana govt just launched the #BhuBharatiAct 💥 on Ambedkar Jayanti 🇮🇳, replacing the problematic #Dharani portal 🧩. With only 6 simple steps now instead of 33 😎, this new system promises transparency 🕵️, easy land services 🏡, and better village-level control! Rollout starts in 3 mandals and goes statewide by June 2 🗓️. Govt also plans forensic audit 🔍 of old records and full support with VROs & surveyors! 👨🌾 Let’s see if this helps the farmers & common folks or becomes another digital headache! 🤔

Key Features of the Bhu Bharati Act and Portal:
Replacement of Previous Systems: The Bhu Bharati Act supersedes the Right of Records (ROR) Act, 2020, and replaces the Dharani portal, aiming to address longstanding issues in land administration.
Phased Implementation: The portal will initially be piloted in three mandals—Thirumalagiri (Nalgonda), Sadasivapet (Medak), and Keesara (Rangareddy)—with a statewide rollout planned for June 2, 2025, contingent on the pilot's success.
Enhanced User Experience: Designed to be more user-friendly, the Bhu Bharati portal reduces the number of modules from 33 (in Dharani) to just 6, simplifying processes for citizens.
Comprehensive Services: The portal offers a range of services, including land registrations, mutations, appeals, ROR corrections, conversion to non-agricultural land, and access to details like e-challans, encumbrances, prohibited lands, land rights, market values, and registered documents.
Security and Oversight: Developed under the supervision of the National Informatics Centre (NIC), the portal incorporates robust cybersecurity measures. The government has also announced plans for a forensic audit of land records to ensure transparency and rectify past irregularities.
Administrative Strengthening: To support the new system, the government plans to appoint Village Revenue Officers (VROs) across all villages by May and increase the number of licensed surveyors to enhance land management efficiency.
This initiative represents a concerted effort by the Telangana government to modernize land records management, enhance transparency, and resolve historical land disputes, thereby aiming to restore public trust in the state's land administration system.
