Brahmotsavams are being held in full splendor at Ahobilam Lakshminarasimhaswamy Temple. As part of the Brahmotsavam, the Lord appeared on various vehicles. On Monday, Jwala Narasimhaswamy appeared as Yoganarasimhaswamy in Eguva Ahobilam and circumambulated the Garuda Vimana in Tiruveedhi along with Sridevi and Bhudevi. In the afternoon Panchamritabhishekam was performed for Swami and Ammavar. At night, Lord Hanuman appeared to the devotees on the vehicle.
In Lower Ahobilam, Prahlada Varada swami appeared on a swan vehicle and the abbot performed special pooja to the swami. In the afternoon Panchamritabhishekam was performed for Bhudevi Ammavaru and Sridevi. Prahlada Varada Narasimha Swamy was paraded through the temple streets at night on the Suryaprabha Vahanam. Ahobilam Math President Ranganatha Yatindra Mahadesikan and Temple Chief Priest Kritambi Venugopalan conducted the festivities. 🙏🎉
Ahobilam is one of the 108 Vaishnava shrines in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. The area is famous for two beautiful temples located at Lower Ahobilam and Upper Ahobilam. According to local legend, it was here that Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, blessed Prahlad and killed Hiranyakshipu.
