A tragic incident occurred in Jagityal where a two-year-old boy, Vihaan Chari, was fatally attacked by street dogs while playing outside his home at night. Local residents noticed the attack and threw stones to scare the dogs away. Vihaan was found unconscious on the road and was rushed to a local hospital. Due to his critical condition, he was transferred to Gandhi Hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries. The heartbreaking sight of Vihaan's body, with over a hundred bite marks from head to toe, has left his parents devastated.
In recent times, there has been an alarming increase in street dog attacks on children. On July 16th, in Managal village of Birpur Mandal, a child playing on the street was attacked by a stray dog, causing severe injuries to his face, ears, and head. This incident was recorded on a local CCTV camera. Despite numerous complaints to municipal authorities, the menace of street dogs continues to pose a significant threat to the community. Locals are pleading for protection from these dangerous animals.
