For the past few days, both Telugu states have been grappling with extreme heat, with temperatures soaring high from as early as 7 AM, making it tough for people to step out of their homes. The relentless heat, accompanied by dust storms and oppressive warmth, has been overwhelming for many. However, there's a silver lining on the horizon for the residents of Telangana, as the Hyderabad Meteorological Department forecasts much-needed rainfall over the next three days.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), from April 19 to 21, a dip in temperatures is expected, and several districts in Telangana will experience rainfall. This upcoming spell of rain is predicted to bring not only relief from the scorching heat but also thunder and lightning, especially in the districts of Mahabubnagar, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal, Wanaparthy, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, and Rangareddy starting from April 19. For the following two days, areas like Peddapalli, Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Kothagudem, and Khammam are also likely to witness moderate rainfall.
The meteorological officials indicate that these rains, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds, might also occur in various districts of Hyderabad city today and tomorrow. With these showers, the temperatures, currently hovering around 40 degrees Celsius, are anticipated to cool down to a more bearable range of around 36 degrees Celsius, providing much-needed relief to the people of Telangana.
