Popular Tamil actor and director G Marimuthu died at the age of 58 today, September 8. At around 8.30 am, he collapsed while dubbing for his television show titled 'Ethir Neechal'. He was rushed to a hospital nearby, where he was declared dead. Marimuthu was a YouTube sensation and was last seen on the big screen in Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' and 'Red Sandal Wood'. His sudden death came as a huge shock to everyone. He is survived by his wife, Backiyalakshmi, and two children - Akilan and Ishwarya.

On September 8, he was dubbing for his TV show 'Ethir Neechal' along with his colleague Kamlesh. While dubbing, he collapsed at the studio in Chennai. When he was taken to a private hospital in Chennai's Vadapalani, the doctors said he was brought dead. At the time of publishing this copy, his body is being kept at the hospital. His body will be shifted to his Chennai home (in Virugambakkam) for public homage.Later today, his body will be taken to Theni, his hometown, where his final rites will be performed. His co-actors from 'Ethirneechal' have rushed to the hospital after hearing the shocking news.🎥🎞
