A low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal is causing heavy rains in Telugu states. The meteorological department has warned of heavy to very heavy rains for the next four to five days in both states. AP CM Chandrababu has alerted collectors to ensure no loss of life.

NDRF personnel rescued them using two helicopters. Flooding in Edapalli stream halted vehicle movement between Mahadevpur and Kaleshwaram. In Mahadevpur mandal, Chandrapalli stream's surge cut off several villages. Bogatha waterfalls in Mulugu district saw a flood surge, and visitors are prohibited. At Sammakka Sagar Barrage, the rising Godavari floodwater led to the opening of 52 gates. In Khammam's Sattupalli Singareni mines, coal production stopped due to heavy rains, disrupting 16,000 tons of coal production. In Mulugu agency, a medical team led by DMHO Appayya undertook a heroic journey of 15 km through streams to provide medical aid to fever-stricken tribal families.

In Annavaram, Kondavagu's surge isolated 15 villages. In Eluru district, 50 devotees were trapped in floods at Gubbala Mangamma temple but were safely relocated. In Dwaraka Tirumala, devotees braved the rain to visit Chinna Venkanna.
