In a case that has become a nationwide sensation, BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), was arrested in connection with the Delhi liquor scam. She has been in Tihar Jail for nearly four months under judicial custody. KCR, who has already spoken about this issue several times, made an emotional statement during the BRS Legislative Party meeting at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday. He alleged that his daughter was imprisoned due to political vendetta and questioned if a father wouldn't feel pain seeing his daughter in jail. KCR said he felt like a "volcano ready to erupt" due to the situation.
Reports suggest that Kavitha has been facing health issues in jail, suffering from fever and low blood pressure, which even caused her to faint and be hospitalized. She has reportedly lost around 10 kilograms during her four-month imprisonment. This has added to KCR's emotional state regarding his daughter's situation.
KCR also pointed out that the Congress party, with just four MLAs, managed to win the recent assembly elections and come to power. He emphasized that MLAs grow more effectively in opposition rather than in power. He expressed his frustration with leaders who enjoy their positions and then leave the party. He made it clear that there is no need to worry about those who leave the party.
