This Sunday evening, K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) is scheduled to visit his sister Kavitha, who is currently held in CBI custody, at Delhi’s Tihar Jail. Kavitha has been detained concerning the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. The court has allowed family members and her lawyer one hour each evening for visitation.
KTR, along with Kavitha's husband Anil, personal assistant Sharath, and lawyer Mohit, have been granted permission to meet her from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM this Sunday. Previously, Kavitha had interactions with her husband and her lawyers on Saturday. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) initially arrested Kavitha, and subsequent developments led the court to permit CBI to take her into custody for further investigation.
Kavitha’s CBI custody is set to end tomorrow, and she is due to appear in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court at 10 AM on Monday. CBI officials plan to request either an extension of her custody or to have her placed under judicial remand. Kavitha has already been in custody multiple times, and her regular bail petition is scheduled for hearing on the 16th of this month. The simultaneous investigations by both ED and CBI have intensified the scrutiny in her cases, indicating a complex legal battle ahead.
