Maldives to Ban Israeli Citizens from Entering

The Maldives government is set to ban Israeli citizens from entering the country. This decision comes in response to local calls for action against Israel following its attacks on Gaza. The Cabinet has decided to amend the law to enforce this ban. Homeland Security and Technology Minister Ali Ihusan announced the decision and mentioned the formation of a special committee to expedite the implementation of the ban. The Maldives is a popular tourist destination, attracting around 1 million visitors annually, with about 15,000 of them being Israeli citizens.
