Due to significant allegations of malpractice, the Central Ministry of Education had cancelled the UGC-NET exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has now announced a new schedule for the exam, which will be conducted between August 21 and September 4, 2024. This announcement was made on Friday evening.
Additionally, the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2024 is scheduled for July 6, 2024. The CSIR NET exam will take place from July 25-27, 2024. These exams are crucial for candidates aspiring for lectureships and research fellowships in universities and research institutions across the country.
From now on, the UGC-NET exam will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format instead of the traditional pen-and-paper method. On June 18, the UGC-NET exam was held in two phases across the nation for the selection of Junior Research Fellows, Assistant Professors, and Ph.D. scholars. However, allegations of malpractice led to widespread protests by student unions, prompting the government to cancel the exam the very next day.
