Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central cabinet has approved a major new initiative: the construction of eight crucial national high-speed road corridors spanning a total of 936 kilometers. These projects aim to improve logistics efficiency, reduce congestion, and enhance connectivity across India. The estimated cost of the project is ₹50,655 crores. Ayodhya Bypass Road: 68 km
Guwahati Ring Road: 121 km
Kharagpur-Siliguri Expressway: 516 km
Agra-Gwalior Greenfield Highway: 88 km, 6-lane
Elevated Highway in Nashik-Pune: 8 lanes, 30 km
Project Benefits:
Agra-Gwalior Travel: The travel distance will be reduced by 50%.
Kharagpur-Moregram Corridor: This will boost the economy between West Bengal and the Northeast.
Kanpur Ring Road: Will connect the city to highway networks around it.
Raipur-Ranchi Corridor: Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh will see enhanced development.
Gujarat Corridor: A new road will connect Tharad and Ahmedabad, improving port connectivity and logistics.
Guwahati Ring Road: Will provide a seamless high-speed road corridor in the northeast.
Ayodhya Access: Travel to Ayodhya will become much faster.
Pune-Nashik Corridor: An 8-lane elevated flyover will reduce logistics costs.
This massive infrastructure project is expected to create around 4.42 crore jobs for the country's unemployed youth, offering a significant boost to employment opportunities.
