In a significant development, renowned actress Hema, who has been facing serious allegations in the Bengaluru rave party case, has been granted bail. Currently in judicial custody at Parappana Agrahara Jail, she received bail on Wednesday, June 12. The Bengaluru Rural NDPS Special Court granted her conditional bail. Hema's lawyer, Mahesh Kiran Shetty, argued that no drugs were found on her and that medical tests were conducted after a considerable delay. Following this, the court decided to grant her bail with conditions.
Case Background
A few days ago, Bengaluru police raided the GR Farmhouse, where Hema was also caught. After the news broke, Hema tried to show she was in Hyderabad by recording and sharing a video from the same farmhouse on social media. However, Bengaluru police confirmed her involvement in the rave party and her efforts to bring other Tollywood celebrities to the event. They issued notices for her to attend the investigation.
Hema did not attend the first notice citing health issues, leading the police to issue a second notice. She attended the investigation disguised in a burqa. Subsequently, the court placed her in 14-day judicial custody. The Movie Artists Association also canceled her membership. However, the recent bail grant has provided her some relief.
