Across India, this year's civil service exam results brought joy to 1016 successful candidates, among them 664 men and 352 women. Telugu girl Ananya Reddy, aged 22, nailed it by securing the third rank on her very first attempt. Remarkably, about 30 candidates from the Telugu-speaking regions also succeeded. But the talk of the town is Siddharth Ram Kumar from Kerala, who landed the fourth rank nationally and decided to keep it a hush-hush affair from his family. Despite being selected for the IPS last year and currently undergoing training in Hyderabad, Siddharth's relentless drive pushed him to attempt the exams again for an IAS position — all without telling his family. Siddharth's family, glued to their TV, were stunned to learn about his achievement through the broadcast. “We didn’t know he was taking the exams again, and learning about his success from the TV made us extremely happy," shared his parents. They reminisced about Siddharth’s active participation in sports from a young age, where he even led his school team. "Seeing him fulfill his dream of becoming an IAS officer without prior hints is truly surprising," they added.
