Today marks the death anniversary of Nandana, and Chitra shared an emotional post on social media, remembering her beloved daughter. She posted a photo of Nandana with the caption, "You will live in my heart until my last breath." Chitra expressed, "Even though you are not with me, you will always be in me. You live in my heart and will continue to do so till my last breath." Chitra's post has gone viral, resonating with netizens who shared their condolences and support. Chitra, who has sung in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, has rendered over 25,000 songs in her four decades of musical career, working with legends like SP Balasubrahmanyam and Ilaiyaraaja. She married engineer Vijay Shankar, and their daughter Nandana was born on December 18, 2002. Tragically, Nandana died in a swimming pool accident in Dubai on April 14, 2011, during a music event, at the age of nine.
