Telangana’s Chief Minister, A. Revanth Reddy, has introduced a significant transformation by renaming the Praja Darbar in Begumpet to Praja Vani. This revamped public engagement platform is now scheduled to convene twice a week, specifically on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 10 am to 1 pm. On the inaugural day, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy personally received petitions from citizens, with subsequent days seeing a continuous flow of applications handled by officials. Recognizing the importance of accessibility, CM Revanth Reddy directed officials to allow early submissions before 10 am, implementing separate queues for differently-abled individuals and women. In his commitment to addressing public needs, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized the provision of amenities such as drinking water for the convenience of attendees. Since its launch on Friday, the government has accumulated a substantial 4,100 petitions, predominantly centered around concerns related to healthcare facilities and pensions. Noteworthy is the breakdown of submissions over the days, with 2,100 on the inaugural day, 700 on Saturday, 200 on Sunday, and 1,100 on Monday. While Revanth Reddy’s aspiration to address public concerns is commendable, the sheer volume of petitions, potentially reaching into the lakhs, raises questions about the practical feasibility of addressing every issue. If successful, Revanth Reddy could be lauded as one of the best chief ministers; however, failure might subject him to criticism for over-ambition and unfulfilled promises.👥📋
