Vijay Deverakonda confessed he auctioned the Best Actor Filmfare award for a massive amount. The actor, in a recent interview, revealed that he is not attached to his awards and even admitted that he has distributed a couple of his awards, including giving one away to Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Vijay said that the award he auctioned brought him a good amount of money.
“Some might be at the office, some my mom must’ve kept at home. I don’t know which are mine, which are Anand’s. Some I give away, I gave one of them to Sandeep (Reddy Vanga). We auctioned my first Best Actor award I got from Filmfare. It got a good chunk of money, that’s a nicer memory for me than a piece of stone in my house,” he told Galatta Plus in an interview. According to Mid-Day, Vijay received a sum of Rs 25 lakhs for the award.
It is reported that he auctioned the award in 2018 and received a sum of Rs 25 lakhs, which he donated to charity. The award was being auctioned at Rs 5 lakhs but Divi Labs reportedly offered him four times the amount and even offered that he kept the trophy. However, Vijay declined and gave away the award. The money was donated to the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF).🎥🏆
